HOW DID BARAK OBAMA CLOSE THE HEALTHCARE SUMMIT?

How did President Barak Obama close the healthcare summit meeting

attended by the democrat and republican members of congress. After

some six hours of debate the president gave notice to the republicans,

and the American people that he will move forward to pass a healthcare

bill with or without their votes or approval.

It was evident to the viewers that the president was arrogant and disturbed

to facts presented by the republican members. The democrat leadership

and the president apparently have not understood that the present

approved legislation is not acceptable by the majority of the American

people. Major polls reflect a 60% disapproval of the existing bill.

The C-Span televised summit gave the republican members an opportunity

to highlight their healthcare reform plan. The debate revealed that both

parties can agree on a solution to parts of the legislation. Disagreements

on tort reform, government paid abortion, government controlled healthcare,

$500 billion cuts to Medicare, additional taxes to pay for the bill, mandated

agencies to monitor the program, and the added cost to the deficit are

some sticking points with the republicans that need to be resolved.

President Barak Obama and the democrat members were allowed four

hours of the debate to two hours for the republican members. Normally

when congress debates, each party is allowed equal time of debate. Osama

ended each topic with the last rebuttal, it was apparent that the time

allotment was not fairly distributed.

There is much more that could be reported since it appears that the

president and the democrat leadership are determined to pass

leglislation.The people have notified their representatives that the

bill is not in their best interest or that of the country in these troubled times.

Take note that the democrats have been in control of congress since

Jan 2007. With the election of Barrack Obama in 2008 the democrats

were in super majority control of our government. Candidate Obama

promised change and promised jobs , transparent government, and to

listen to the people if elected. Now a little over one year, unemployment

is at 9.7% and the economy has yet to recover. Congress continues

to spent borrowed money and the deficit under the Obama administration

and this congress is $4.3 trillion, putting our nation at financial risk.

President Bush left office with a $1.3 trillion deficit of which $787 billion

was to bail out the banking industry. Today the banks have repaid the

$787 billion with interest reducing the Bush deficit to $600 billion.

According to the tarp bill, repaid monies were to be used to pay down

the deficit. The obama administration and congress have yet to return

the funds to the treasury.

The American people are not being told the truth about the soaring

deficit and the national debt. This congress and the president are not

listening to the people. The 111th congress has a 70% disapproval rating,

lowest in our history. The people need to demand that this congress

stop spending and provide the private sector jobs that was promised.

Wake up America before it’s too late, call your congressional

representatives and make them accountable. Without jobs the economy

will not rebound. The Obama administration and congress is telling the

american people that we are in a recovery when that is not true.
