Will Congress and President Obama Succeed

Will Congress and President Obama Succeed this time on approving the 2010-2011 Congressional budget after the 6th continuing resolution ( CR ) has expired on 4/06/11?

President Barak Obama was elected in 2008 and took office in Jan. 2009 with a Democrat super majority control of Congress. The 2010-2011 budget according to the rules of the US Congress, the budget was supposed to be approved by Aug 2009. One must question as to why the Pelosi, Reid and Obama leaderships ignored their duties in submitting and approving the budget, since they had total control of the government. Congress passing continued resolutions is not an the answer to run away US Government spending and $ trillion deficits besides voting 2 times to raise the national debt limits to $14.3 trillion.

The Bush Tarp bill ($700 BILLION) was to save the banking industry from the possible collapse of the financial sector. Although Congress approved $700 billion only $325 billion was applied for. A recent Federal Reserve freedom of information investigation showed that some of the funds were loaned to foreign banks in addition to US banks and the bailout of the auto industry. With the exception of the auto industry and a few US corporations many of the funds have been repaid with interest. Members of the Fed have projected that the Tarp bill in the end will show that the US government will be repaid in full plus interest.

Immediately upon taking office, President Obama proposed the Stimulus bill ($750 billion) in order to get the economy back on track. By Congress passing the bill, President Obama promised that unemployment would not go over 8% and that there were ‘’shovel ready ‘’ jobs for an immediate jump start of the economy. The stimulus bill is now $ 825 billion, unemployment went to 10% and the recession of Dec 2007 continues. Today after 2.25 years of the Obama Administration, unemployment is 8.8% ( if including all the workforce it would be 15% ).President Obama reported recently that 1.5 million jobs have been created since he took office and that 200,000+ workers were hired in Feb. The president did not elaborate about the rising cost of food, gas prices and the rising cost of healthcare insurance.

The battle to propose a 2010-2011 budget began when in the 2010 elections, the Republicans were voted majority control in the House of Representatives. The voters gave the Republicans control of 1/3 of the US government. The US Constitution provides for many checks and balances, that today are being abused by leaders of both parties at one time or another. Why is it so hard that our elected representatives cannot seem to agree on what is best for our country. There is a right and a wrong, for some reason right is wrong and wrong is right in our government today. Washington is corrupt , evil is a part of the equation.

Enough is Enough, when will the fight for the future good of the AMERICAN PEOPLE begin and end! Wake up America, let your voices be heard. Congress must first work for the people who elected them to office rather than what the party leaders tell them how to vote. Public Servants wanted, no politicians need to apply.

In Feb the US Government spent $2.2Trillion in one month, more than the Bush administration spent in the last 12 months of the George Bush presidency. The CBO projects the 2010-2011bugdet will have a $1.56 trillion deficit. The CRs have been extended 5 times prior to the Republicans winning the House in Nov. 2010. The Democrats and Obama are delaying approving a budget in order to spend more money before an agreement is reached. Obama has spent $2.2 billion in HC funding to manage the bill and funnel more money to labor unions . Much of the money going to union plans to cover 55old early retirees healthcare cost before the bill goes into effect in 2014.

What must Congress do to Freeze all spending on the HC Bill and other non essential services? Can Congress save a $ 100 billion now because in 2012 there will be more request for spending, adding more $ billion deficits. All monies paid back to Tarp and any unspent Stimulus funds, $$billions, should be used to pay down the deficit. It's time to end the bull and tell the American people the truth. Stop the insanity and shut the Government DOWN if necessary.

The Democrats and President Barak Obama control 2/3 of the Government. They’re in control and they should be held responsible and accountable for non performance. So, Public Servant tell the American people, loud and clear, the true facts as to why government politics don’t include working for the good of the American people.
